The Hush Puppies footwear brand has carried out a LINK Collect campaign in Portugal, with the main focus on our discount coupons: a fast and economic way to give incentives to customers and collect data. Specifically it focused on sending SMS messages which redirected recipients to a landing page, where they were requested to invite a friend by entering their details. This resulted in being given a coupon offering a €10 off discount which could be redeemed either online or in physical stores. In addition, each user who received the invitation via SMS, could forward it to other friends.
This is the first large LINK Collect campaign, and for LINK Mobility Spain it has been a great way to bring the commercial activity of 2018 to a close.
Benefits for friends
The promotion covered the products in the entire footwear collection and was directed at a target aged between 35 and 55, living in the main Portuguese cities. A total of 27,000 SMS were sent to contacts in the database, which increased a little more thanks to invitations forwarded to other friends. The goal of the marketing strategy was precisely this call to action for some friends to forward messages to others, allowing them to benefit from the discounts.
The campaign lasted from 1st to 9th December and resulted in a high rate of satisfaction for the client (456% ROI), especially in the case of physical stores.
